My Very 1st Book of Manners
Published in Hardcover by Harvest House Publishers, Inc. (January, 2000)
Average review score:

Sweet, Adhorable, PerfectMy little girl was drawn to this book when she was only 4 months old and still picks it out over other books that are read at story time. It is perfect for her as it has a frilly little girl quality to it. Fun colors and design bring a real "feel good" sort of comfort and the story is uplifting and positive. This is so good for children as part of their "First Board Books" collection and I highly recommend it.

Newton
Published in Hardcover by Barrons Juveniles (September, 2001)
Average review score:

A clever story with a very cute and charming bearMy children and I read this story together...it is fabulous. The main character Newton is very adorable and the drawings are beautiful. They loved the story and guessed the punchline, but that only added to their enjoyment! It is now a firm favourtie and will be on my shopping list for all my nieces and nephews for Christmas.

enchantress526 reviewIt is a really nice book about a doll, a teddy bear, and a dog. The doll and the bear have been thrown out for more modern toys. The dog comes by and gives them a home in his owner's basement. He goes away for one day, while the doll and bear play. The next day he brings them to a school and finds homes for them.

Night Night, Cuddly Bear
Published in Paperback by Walker Books (03 September, 2001)
Average review score:

Such a nice book! Now I have to admit one of the main reasons I bought this book is I have a five year old named Joe. Also that I love Martine Waddell's books and Panny Dale's illustrations. And I wasn't disappointed one bit. The story is so nice and shows how a family is so cosy together. The game Mom and Joe play is so imaginative. I highly recommend this book!

The Ninth Commandment: Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness
Published in Paperback by PublishAmerica (10 July, 2002)
Average review score:

The ninth CommandmentAlthough this is not my type of reading material (My husband bought it), I could NOT put it down! This author is sooo different from your regular shoot-em-up type Private detective authors. This book is non-stop from begining to end, and absolutely loaded with emotion. And, most important, it's written by a real private detective. The characters are purely wonderful, especially ROCCO! Is this book true? I strongly recommend this book to everyone, and I mean everyone.

No Bigger Than My Teddy Bear
Published in Paperback by Abingdon Press (March, 1988)
Average review score:

Great BookMy daughter, 5 yrs. old, loves this story. She was born at 32 weeks, and she loves reading about the NICU experience, and knowing and understanding how things happened after her birth. At least 2 years after we purchased this book, her sister was also born early at 31/32 weeks. Being one of her favorite stories for so long, she was also well prepaired for the early arrival of her sister. This is a must have storybook for once-upon-a-time preemies, as well as those with preemie siblings. I was so happy to discover it, as there are very few children's stories about prematurity!

North American Wildlife Patterns for the Scroll Saw: 61 Captivating Designs for Moose, Bear, Eagles, Deer, and More

Average review score:

An old time woodworkerI am always looking for patterns to cut on my scroll saw and I must say I am really picky about the designs I decide to cut. I purchased this book for the wildlife designs and they are all top notch. You will not be disappointed with the quality Lora Irish, puts into her designs. I highly recommend this book. Its worth double its cost.

The Number One New York Times Best Seller
Published in Hardcover by Ten Speed Press (December, 1992)
Average review score:

Best available timeline of the NYT bestseller list I've seenHad to borrow this little-known & hard-to-find book in a paperback edition via an interloan from my local library...
Starting from the inception of the New York Times bestseller list in 1942, this 8x11-size survey time-travels through the first 50 years of the list outlining most of the volumes which made it to the #1 position, both fiction and non-fiction. Interesting and often humorous capsule descriptions, and list-performance area-graphs are provided with each. The framework proceeds chronologically year-by-year, and is interspersed with fascinating articles and trivia about authors, background, and the books themselves. An interesting example is an article by Andy Rooney describing his experiences on the list with his best-selling books of the early 80's.
For anyone who is fascinated by best-seller lists and in books in general, this is a must if you can locate it. Also, if anyone knows of any other similar best-seller-list histories or surveys, I'd appreciate knowing, thanx.
